Recently, while browsing some literature, I came across a study that might be of interest to you. It examined the combination of Omega-3 fish oil with astaxanthin.
Although it is not showing anything new, it does help reaffirm the assertions that we made when we developed Xtendlife Omega 3 / DHA Plus and Omega 3 / QH Premium CoQ10 fish oil products. Both of these contain not onlyastaxanthin but also lycopene which complements the astaxanthin nicely. I suspect that if the study had included lycopene into the mix it would have been even better.
You can view this study by clicking here. It highlights the benefits of reducing oxidative stress and supporting lymph node health simply by taking omega-3 fish oil and astaxanthin, a powerful natural antioxidant.
Omega-3 and Astaxanthin for Overall Health
Although not a groundbreaking discovery, this study adds to the growing evidence that both omega-3 fish oil and astaxanthin are beneficial for cardiovascular health, skin health, reducing inflammation, improving mental health, and potentially helping to prevent neurodegenerative conditions.
We have additional studies and strong clinical data on our site demonstrating the numerous benefits of astaxanthin and fish oil. If you have a few minutes, I encourage you to check them out; they make for fascinating reading. You can read them by clicking here.
As far as I know, Xtendlife is the only manufacturer that combines astaxanthin and lycopene with Omega-3 fish oil. Although krill oil does contain some astaxanthin, the amount is relatively low, and manufacturers typically supplement it with additional astaxanthin from the same source we use. However, even with this added astaxanthin, the levels are comparable to those in our products. A drawback of krill oil is that it provides relatively low levels of the Omega-3 fatty acids, DHA and EPA.
